Atlas MTT GmbH and K. H. Steuernagel Lichttechnik GmbH exhibit jointly at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2006 in Stuttgart /Germany
Linsengericht/Germany / April, 2006 - The weathering expert Atlas Material Testing Technology and K. H: Steuernagel (KHS), specialists in technical lighting and solar simulation systems are exhibiting their latest material testing solutions together at the Automotive Testing Expo Europe 2006 in Stuttgart.
Atlas, who continuously raises the bar in accelerated light aging systems, will present its light exposure and weathering testing instrument, the Xenotest® Beta+. The Xenotest® Beta+ represents a universal testing instrument for tests for a wide range of materials, e.g. paints, textiles or small plastic pieces. The Beta+ simulates and accelerates the natural weathering processes providing reliable results concerning the long-term behaviour of materials. The 4,000 cm2 exposure area offers a large sample surface area to expose various individual samples, up to and including 3D samples. The large, color touch screen makes operation easy and user friendly.
Steuernagel's technical lighting and solar simulation systems are applicable for crash tests and other safety experiments as well as for material examination. For the automotive industry, KHS has developed, designed, manufactured and installed more than 40 large scale lighting systems for car, barrier and sled test facilities. To enhance the technical and theoretical application of speciality products, KHS has been continually involved in research and development of new applications, methods and products. Two of these new developments will be presented in Stuttgart. Beside the latest version of an on-board lamp for High Speed Illumination during crash test events, KHS will exhibit an "Automatic Solar Scanner" for full scale solar simulation systems.
