Bhoomi Puja Performed for Atlas’ New Outdoor Exposure Site near Chennai
Chennai/India, May 2007 - Atlas is pleased to announce that the foundation stone for its new outdoor exposure site in India was laid on May 2 at which time a Bhoomi Puja ritual was performed. Bhoomi can be translated as land and Puja as offering.
The Bhoomi Puja ceremony took place in the northeast corner of the property. During the ritual different seeds, flowers and colouring substances were used on the nine stone bricks which represent the nine planets, mandala chants were recited and offerings were made. Following the chants and offerings, the nine bricks were placed in a test pit in the northeast corner of the site.
The official opening of the site will be on August 31, 2007.
